Working with me

Christina is a student therapist who brings years of frontline experience supporting individuals through trauma, mental health challenges, and complex life transitions. Her approach is warm, steady, and deeply client-centered, rooted in the belief that healing happens when people feel safe enough to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with the parts of themselves they’ve had to hold alone.

Before beginning her clinical training, Christina worked in gender-based violence counselling, youth care, addictions programming, and mental health support across diverse communities. She has supported women, teens, and families navigating domestic violence, homelessness, substance use, indigenous populations, and relational trauma. Her background gives her a grounded understanding of both crisis and long-term healing work—making her especially attuned to the nervous system, attachment, boundaries, and the lived impact of trauma.

As a certified yoga teacher, Christina integrates an embodied lens into her therapeutic work. She understands how the body holds emotion and how regulation, breath, and gentle awareness can support meaningful change. Clients often describe her presence as compassionate, thoughtful, and grounding.

Christina works from trauma-informed, feminist, and strengths-based perspectives. She welcomes adults and youth (16+) seeking support with developmental trauma, domestic violence, self-esteem, anxiety, relationship patterns, emotional overwhelm, and rebuilding trust in themselves.

We often find that the harder we try to get rid of emotions and thoughts, the stronger they become. — Richard C. Schwartz
