Co-Founder

I provide a compassionate space for you to move beyond the impact of painful experiences and overcome
what may be holding you back from the life you desire. In our work together, I will help you learn to be gentler with yourself and accept that you have always been enough. You are worthy, and not alone.

My theoretical approach

I place a strong emphasis on self-compassion, warmth, and understanding. Of utmost importance to me is building a strong relationship with my clients; I believe that you are the expert on you, and that change and growth are always possible. I respect my clients’ diverse spectrum of differences, therefore my approach in therapy is adapted to each individual. Therapy approaches that I enjoy using and draw from to support clients include: Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychodynamic Therapy, among others.

A little bit about me...

Therapy really helps. It’s my own personal story that has led me to this field of work. I am a curious, open-minded, and compassionate practitioner. I have worked for numerous years with undergraduate/graduate students and health care professionals. I have also had the privilege to intern at the External Clinic at the Montfort Hospital, where I provided individual and group therapy for clients with personality disorders (borderline, avoidant, narcissistic, obsessive compulsive traits), anxiety disorders (generalized, situational and panic disorders) and mood disorders (depression).

You might have an inner voice constantly telling you you’re either “too much” or “not enough”; feel stuck in patterns that don’t work for you anymore; or you may have experienced childhood trauma and family issues that have affected and shaped how you move through the world. If you have a hard time understanding yourself or are curious about exploring how your past has affected you, I’d love to support you. I really enjoy working with embodiment and befriending the body, addressing negative self-talk, and exploring coping tools and strategies to help you live your best life. Together, we can find empowering strategies, new ways of thinking, and uncover what is holding you back from the life you desire.

If I’m not working, you can usually find me cuddling my two cats, cooking, reading fiction, and I also love to paint (watercolour and acrylic).
