M. Ed., Registered Psychotherapist
Co-Founder
If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or the effects of trauma, you may find yourself asking: “Was I born this way?” “Is something wrong with me?” or “Am I broken?” You might feel breathless, disconnected in your relationships, or drained of energy, longing to feel like yourself again. If this resonates with you, let’s work together to create change! My practice is trauma-competent, and I incorporate somatic techniques to support your healing journey for your mind, body, and spirit.
Together, we’ll discover new perspectives, alleviate your symptoms, and help you move beyond past pain. I’ll guide you in reconnecting with your emotions and body, empowering you in your relationships. We’ll work on being kinder to yourself and embracing the truth that you have always been enough. Remember, you are worthy and not alone.
I provide a compassionate space for you to move beyond the impact of painful experiences and overcome what may be holding you back from the life you desire. In our work together, I will help you learn to be gentler with yourself and accept that you have always been enough. You are worthy, and not alone.
I place a strong emphasis on self-compassion, warmth, and understanding. Of utmost importance to me is building a strong relationship with my clients; I believe that you are the expert on you, and that change and growth are always possible. I respect my clients’ diverse spectrum of differences, therefore my approach in therapy is adapted to each individual. Therapy approaches that I enjoy using and draw from to support clients include: Somatic Experiencing, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychodynamic Therapy, among others
Therapy really helps. It’s my own personal story that has led me to this field of work. I am a curious, open-minded, and compassionate practitioner who likes to sometimes bring humour into my sessions.
I really enjoy working with embodiment and befriending the body, addressing negative self-talk, and exploring coping tools and strategies to help you live your best life. I also have worked for numerous years with undergraduate/graduate students and health care professionals.
If I’m not working, you can usually find me cuddling my two cats, cooking, reading fiction, and I also love to paint (watercolour and acrylic).
